Busy Reading/Watching – 27 March

Recently I've been doing quite a bit of reading as well as starting to watch a new TV Series that has come out.

It's fairly rare for me to want to start watching a TV Series, so when I do, it's one that I'm very likely to enjoy. Having said that, there are times when the TV Series only has a once off (mini-series) run, which is the case here.

So far I've watched the first two episodes of 'The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair', and so far I'm finding it pretty intriguing. I'll be watching the third episode tonight and find out more about what's happening on that front...

The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair

Other than that I've just been watching Youtube videos as well as catching up on series that I started watching quite a while back already, but just never finished.

Quite a bit of the reading that I've been doing lately is leisure reading, though I've also been doing a little bit of review reading as well.

'Gold Diggers' by Tasmina Perry is primarily a chick lit novel; though there is a small amount of suspense in the background in little bits and pieces throughout the book. I enjoyed this one for its lightness and 'glamour'.

'Gold Diggers' and 'BreinBliksem'

'BreinBliksem' by Fanie Viljoen on the other hand; is outright suspense with some weird but fairly relevant stuff mixed in. In english, this book's title is 'Mind F**k'; and it has a lot of teenager antics in it...but also what I suspect could be a little bit of mental health issues as well. Have any of my fellow South Africans read this book?

On the review reading front, I've been busy with 'The Fourth Courier' by Timothy Jay Smith, and this one is slated to come out on the third of April - so if crime and suspense are your cup of tea - try picking this one up; I'm quite enjoying the writing.

What have you been reading or watching lately? Be sure to let me know in the comments or on social media.
