In case you haven't noticed - or if you're new to this blog website (welcome!), I am a self-employed book blogger - i.e. I blog about books. This started out as a hobby in 2016 - and in 2018; I decided to give blogging my full attention by becoming self-employed.
I didn't ever think that I would become so passionate about being involved in the bookish world. I focus a lot on authors who are indie and self-published, though I do read traditionally published books as well.
It feels that as I've grown as book blogger, my responsibilities have also increased. But as with any career/job - it's not all sunshine and roses. And along with that, there's still a lot for me to learn in this world.
My reading world has gotten so much bigger since I've become a reviewer - and I've been exposed to authors and books that I didn't even know existed - and I am so grateful for that. I really enjoy being able to give indie and self-published authors a chance to gain new readers and I enjoy watching those authors grow as writers.
Even though I prefer reading paperbacks - having a kindle definitely helps in terms of authors being able to get their books to me without having to spend a huge amount of money trying to get it delivered to me. So essentially I do a lot of my reading on my kindle.
I've also still got a lot to learn in the self-employed world; I spent a lot of 2018 trying to find my feet - but this year I'm a little bit more settled. Are there any of you that are avid readers? Let me know on social media or in the comments down below.
